Maker

Crafted by skilled Maasai artisans who combine traditional woodworking with intricate leather tooling, preserving historically nomadic design principles.

Meaning

The tripod design is inherently stable on uneven terrain, a form historically perfected by nomadic herdsmen. The seat features a hand-tooled silhouette honoring the Maasai Moran (warrior), capturing a deep sense of cultural pride and place.

Making

Three sturdy hardwood legs are hand-carved and joined at a central pivot, allowing the stool to fold naturally for transport. The seat is crafted from thick, durable leather that is meticulously tooled, dyed in warm earth tones, and finished with tightly laced leather edging.

Use

A versatile, portable seating option that brings tactile warmth and historical resonance to modern living spaces. It serves beautifully as a functional accent chair, a footrest, or a sculptural room feature.
